Why should you trust me?
You can call me Trusty but my real name is Joshua. Online identities can be tricky, not knowing who to bet on with your business deals, who to trust with your money. The Trusty Businessman was developed over time. I did not always used to be so trusty – Through my relationship with Jesus and many, many mentors, I have been transformed by the Holy Spirit. Trusting Him has been the only thing that I have studied which has led consistently to freedom.
I know what it takes to uphold integrity, to forsake the easy-way-out and diligently finish things with morality, ethics, and integrity. For that reason, I created the Trusty Businessman persona. Through my personal life, my work, the nonprofit we started, the nonprofit I like to support and even my local church, I live and breathe transparency. For this reason, I keep the Trusty Businessman alive.
Trusting someone these days with your business strategy, marketing plans – or lack thereof, takes a bit of guts and sometimes can make you feel uneasy because you are not sure if you are making the right decision. My second job ever was at a tech store and I used to steer people toward competitors’ stores who balked at $6 audio cords when we both knew that the price was outrageous. Those became some of my most reliable customers.
Integrity takes time to develop but I understand the importance of a solid relationship. Honesty simply fuels more business because trust is hard to come by.
